There wasn't one answer. Council news lives on one site, transport on three others, and the local clubs' results on a noticeboard nobody walks past. Wasson Redruth is our attempt to put it all in one place.
We're not a newsroom. We don't send reporters to council meetings or knock on doors — the reporting is done by the outlets and organisations you see credited under every story (BBC Cornwall, the town council, local clubs, charities and emergency services among them), and every item links straight back to them. What we build is the layer underneath: pulling those sources together automatically every couple of hours, cleaning up the mess of formats they arrive in, and laying it out so you can scan a morning's worth of Redruth news, bus times and match results in the time it takes the kettle to boil. The A-Z directory is the one part of the site that isn't pulled from a feed — every entry in it is meant to be checked by hand against the business or service's own listing and re-audited every few months so it doesn't quietly go stale.
